Tormach Inc., an industry- leading supplier of affordable and compact CNC machines, promoted John Wallner to the position of technical support manager.

Wallner, who has worked at Tormach since 2014, was previously a technical support specialist at the company, where he worked as a CNC support adviser to customers. In his new role, he will manage the company’s internal customer support team, responsible for ensuring customers are getting the best performance possible out of their Tormach machines. This includes managing day-to-day support operations to create positive brand experiences for existing customers in order to support Tormach’s expansion goals. It also includes reducing troubleshooting problems, providing guidance on best practices, and acting as the voice of the customer internally while passing along feedback to Tormach’s product development, engineering, and sales and marketing teams.

Prior to joining Tormach, Wallner worked as a technician at Universal Presentation Concepts, where he repaired CNC machines, including all electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs, part inventory, and preventive/predictive maintenance. Before that, he was a technician at Space Metrics. He has more than 25 years of experience in the manufacturing of woods, plastics, and metals. He has an associate’s degree in computer science from Herzing University-Madison.

“John has really earned this promotion through his hard work and dedication,” said Daniel Rogge, Tormach CEO. “He’s very familiar with our products and our customers, and we’re confident he will do a great job managing our technical support efforts.”
