Ken Nemec Joins Ever Sharp Tools
Ever Sharp Tools has announced a new president, Ken Nemec, aka “The Broachman.”
Founded by the Chen family in 1990, Ever Sharp Tools is now one of the world’s largest specialty cutting tool and spline gage companies, with over 500 employees, and it’s continually expanding sales globally.
In 2016, Ever Sharp Tools made a $4 million investment to open and staff a new facility in Michigan. New machines and tools are being sold now from its St. Clair, Michigan, facility, and the new factory will open spring 2017.
With the recent investment to start up a southeastern Michigan-based workshop/service center and showroom, Ever Sharp Tools will offer its customers broach tools, hob tools, forming racks, and spline gages, as well as core drills, special drills, and mill cutters. Its showroom includes partner machines, including Stenhoj broaching and hard broaching machines. It also offers helical annulus ring gear broach tools, POT broach tools, and solid carbide hard broaching tools. Its service center will offer CNC tool sharpening and reconditioning with free local pickup and delivery.
"Our tools and spline gages are designed by a team of more than 20 engineers, made with the best materials including Bohler high speed steel, on CNC machine tools by well-trained, motivated employees,” said Nemec. “Combining that with state-of-the-art heat treat, the industry’s best coating and inspection equipment, and a custom ERP system with a cleverly integrated Quality System Module assures world-class quality and customer satisfaction in every step of our process.
Ever Sharp Tools will be at IMTS 2016 Booth N-6997.
