Big Daishowa announced its Tools for Schools program provided $23,300 in tooling certificates for local high schools, vocational schools, and colleges.

This marks the second year of the program, which ran from October 1 to December 29, 2023. For every qualifying order during that time, Big Daishowa committed a tooling certificate valued at 20 percent of each purchase to the buyer’s school of choice.

Schools were able to redeem certificates for any Big Daishowa product, including best-in-class tool holders, boring tools, cutting tools, workholding products, and presetters.

“A big part of our company’s overall mission is to support a new generation of skilled workers,” said Jack Burley, president & COO of Big Daishowa. “This program is a great way to do that because it allows students to gain experience with the same tools they will use as future engineers and machinists. We’re thankful to our customers who participated and made this possible.”

In addition to its Tools for Schools program, Big Daishowa contributes to local workforce development and local robotics league competitions, is a student-friendly exhibitor at industry trade shows, and more.
