WZL Gear Conference USA set for July at Klingelnberg America

The WZL Gear Conference USA will take place on July 15 16, 2026, at Klingelnberg America, Inc. This renowned conference brings together North American companies with the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering (WZL) at RWTH Aachen University and offers a compact overview of current developments and research topics in gear technology.

Participating companies will have the opportunity to network with leading experts, discuss trends, and gain concrete insights to apply in their daily work. “With the WZL Gear Conference USA, we have a platform where the latest scientific findings are directly applied to industrial use,” said Fabian Wolf, CEO of Klingelnberg America, Inc. “We are delighted to welcome, together with WZL RWTH Aachen, leading representatives of the North American gear and drive technology sector.”

The conference focuses on current research activities related to gear development and manufacturing. Participants will gain insight into the WZL’s latest projects and have the opportunity to exchange ideas with representatives from academia and industry during discussions and networking sessions.

In addition to the conference program, Klingelnberg America, Inc. invites all participants to visit its facility in Saline, Michigan, on the second day. There, visitors can experience state-of-the-art machinery and measurement technology firsthand.

The Department of Gear Technology conducts research in the areas of gear manufacturing, gear NVH, and gear power density that is unique in Europe.

Its research activities are characterized by a holistic approach that encompasses the entire process chain of gear and gear technology — from design to manufacturing and measurement technology to operational behavior.
