Third Wave’s Production Module v9.7 introduces a major time-saver: Users can now view the in-process workpiece (IPW) for any machining operation instantly with a few clicks.

This unique feature allows users to swiftly get to the portion of the toolpath they are interested in analyzing and eliminates the need to reset the workpiece view back to the stock condition. Jump quickly to the areas of most interest — and uncover deep insights about the process.

With less time spent on animating the toolpath up to the desired analysis location, there will be more time to focus on what matters most: optimizing machining strategies for new product introduction (NPI) and continuous improvement.

By loading the IPW for as many machining sequences as necessary, working with high-resolution workpieces, long toolpaths, and a large number of sequences becomes a breeze. There is no need to rerun animations over and over.

PM v9.7 also includes support for using 3D mice for turning to create a stronger, faster, and more seamless transition between the different applications within the programming and analysis workflow. By using programmable keys to ease panning and zooming in one smooth flow, users can increase productivity by up to 30 percent.

Also included in PM v9.7 is the addition of AM355 stainless steel, which reiterates Third Wave’s commitment to bring more validated materials to the material library. The aim is to help users get ahead on machinability analysis on materials they may be unfamiliar with, and help shorten the learning curve to accelerate users’ ability to deliver to customers.

The new Production Module v9.7 with the innovative In-Process Workpiece takes users where they want to go in their toolpath analysis faster, more easily, and more precisely than ever before.

Iterate more efficiently, reduce programing time, and explore innovative ways of thinking about NPI strategy and continuous improvement initiatives with the new PM v9.7.
