Highlighting its powder-to-tool expertise as a manufacturer of solid carbide cutting tools, Ceratizit will showcase tooling solutions for aerospace and the oil and gas industries at the Manufacturing Technology Series (MTS) SOUTHWEST event November 4-6, 2025, in booth #903 in Dallas, Texas. The reimagined MonsterMill ISO-S range of milling cutters and advanced MaxiMill – 211-DC indexable insert milling system for machining nickel-based or titanium alloys in aerospace will be featured along with its OptiLine Series of solid carbide end mills for oil country and tubular goods (OCTG) manufacturers, MaxiMill – S-Power milling cutters optimized for cast iron and versatile WTX-UNI universal drill range.

The MonsterMill ISO-S milling cutter range blends a balanced combination of carbide, coating, and geometry that provides consistently smooth cutting action in difficult-to-machine alloys such as Inconel®, Hastelloy®, Waspaloy®, and other nickel-based alloys used in aerospace manufacturing. The irregular pitch of the cutting edges and a variable helix angle of the MonsterMill ISO-S minimize vibrations to significantly increase machining performance and help prevent tool breakage. Those features also improve workpiece surface quality and reduce the need for further secondary processes. Ceratizit developed the cutter’s DPX22S Dragonskin coating specifically for use on nickel-based alloys to provide high thermal stability and outstanding wear resistance due to its special layer structure.

Also designed to machine super alloys and high-grade titanium, show attendees can see the company’s advanced, additively manufactured MaxiMill – 211-DC indexable insert milling system with 3D-printed cooling channels. Ceratizit’s in-house additive manufacturing processes allow the MaxiMill – 211-DC’s patented shoulder mill to funnel the maximum amount of coolant directly onto the insert flanks for improved process reliability. The MaxiMill – 211-DC has 60 percent longer tool life compared to tools with standard cooling and is compatible with standard through-coolant supply adapters.

For oil and gas industry applications, Ceratizit crafted its four- and five-flute OptiLine Series end mills from premium substrate for optimized reliability. The series’ four-flute solid carbide end mill features a variable helix and pitch for maximum stability during demanding operations, and the versatile five-flute configuration with its constant helix and variable pitch excels in machining a wide range of materials.

All OptiLine Series end mills are reinforced  with Ceratizit’s Dragonskin coating technology to improve chip control and reduce adhesion for longer tool life.

To demonstrate tool capabilities across a wide variety of materials, Ceratizit will also showcase the MaxiMill – S-Power milling cutters. With 12 insert pockets at Ø63 mm and double-sided indexable inserts, the cutters are built to handle the tool wear, burr formation, and breakout challenges typical in cast iron applications.

The milling cutters’ double-sided indexable inserts boast eight cutting edges made from premium substrates with Dragonskin coating for high performance with a smooth cutting action. Sturdy construction with robust insert seats and double wedge clamp ensures secure insert retention and high axial and radial run-out accuracy.

MaxiMill – S-Power complements existing face milling systems from Ceratizit and is ideal for cast iron components made from GJS, GJV and GJL.

For shops requiring maximum flexibility, Ceratizit will spotlight its powerful and versatile WTX-UNI drill range with a new geometry and patented features. The WTX-UNI provides long tool life and reliable precision drilling in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hardened steels and reduces downtime associated with tool changeovers.

The WTX-UNI has two guide lands and is available with diameters ranging from 3 to 20 mm in hole depths 3xD and 5xD. Each drill is offered with or without through coolant and in HA/HB/HE shank variants.
