United Machining North America, a division of United Machining Solutions Group which provides high-precision machine tools for the manufacturing industry, has launched limited-edition models of its best-selling wire EDM and milling machines. This launch serves as a reminder that customer feedback is instrumental in guiding the trajectory of two pioneering brands.

Agie Charmilles, makers of world-leading electrical discharge machining (EDM), has launched the CUT E 350 Prime and the CUT E 600 Prime, limited-time offerings in its CUT E wire EDM series. Featuring an industry-best power supply, Turbo Tech onboard cutting technology, and the Uniqua HMI, it’s a high-performance and high-accuracy choice for shops that refuse to compromise on EDM quality and cycle times.
“We are thrilled to introduce the CUT E 350 Prime and the CUT E 600 Prime, two stellar offerings in the Agie Charmilles lineup,” said Onik Bhattacharyya, president of United Machining North America. “Both of these machines combine the equipment and software that the brand is known for with an attractive price point and robust service package. You can set your watch to the precision and reliability you will have on your floor.”
Also, Mikron Mill, the inventors of high-speed milling and makers of Swiss-made, automation-fluent 3-axis and 5-axis milling machines, has launched the MILL E 700 U Prime, a special edition of its 5-axis MILL E Series. This machine brings an industry-leading 20,000 rpm Step-Tec spindle that boasts 120 Nm of torque and 36 kW of power. The construction and design pairs with simultaneous 5-axis direct torque table motors to deliver a standout that’s primed to advance any machine shop or production manufacturer.
“There are so many incredible features in the MILL E 700 U Prime, including the high-performance spindle that comes standard, the friendly Heidenhain control and the integrated or third-party automation,” said Bhattacharyya. “But what I’m most excited about is that this machine will give an entirely new segment of manufacturers access to the day-in, day-out accuracy and efficiency that Mikron Mill and Swiss-made machining provides.”
