The DC180 Supreme carbide drill with internal coolant is available in diameters from 0.118 to 0.787 in. (3 to 20 mm). The standard dimensions include the 3 × Dc version in accordance with the DIN 6537 short standard, 5 × Dc version in accordance with the DIN 6537 long standard and the 8 × Dc and 12 x Dc version in accordance with the Walter standard. The drills have straight cutting edges for maximum stability, a 140° point angle. The 8 × Dc and 12 × Dc versions have four margins.

The 3 × Dc and 5 × Dc drills are available in the WJ30EZ grade with an aluminum titanium nitride (AlTiN) multi-layer coating over the entire length of the drill. The 8 × Dc and 12 × Dc drills are available in the WJ30EY grade with AlTiN multi-layer tip coating. Both WJ30EZ and WJ30EY coatings have the Krato-tec multi-layer coating technology that enables maximum productivity and features a top layer with a high aluminum content, a graded transitional layer and a base layer that provides optimal toughness. The drills can be used with emulsion, oil or minimum quantity lubrication (MQL).

The DC180 Supreme tools are suitable for drilling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous materials, super alloys and hard materials (ISO P, M, K, N, S and H

material groups). The areas of use include the automotive, aerospace, energy, general mechanical engineering and mold and die making industries.
