Mollart Engineering is planning to present the latest version of its LD4 Drillsprint deep hole-drilling machine with 750 mm stroke complete with full automatic loading and unloading along with a range of the latest deep hole drill tooling from Botek.

The Drillsprint LD4 has a capacity between 2 mm and 16 mm diameter by 750 mm deep, can be supplied with counter rotation to create concentric bores and is ideal for thin wall components. There is a range of auto loading solutions including gantry, pick and place and robotic systems. Machines can be supplied with one, two, three or four spindles.

Among the latest tooling on display will be the single lip, solid carbide Botek gundrill, the Type 113-HP, which has a penetration rate up to 800 per cent faster than conventional drills for use in special gundrilling machines, machining centers and lathes that have through-tool coolant supply. Tools are available between 0.7 mm and 12 mm diameter with a depth to diameter ratio of up to 80:1.
