Henkel Corporation has introduced LoctiteÆ H8600TM SpeedbonderTM, a structural adhesive designed for superior bond strength on difficult to bond galvanized steel. The product also offers excellent results bonding steel, aluminum, stainless steel, polycarbonate, fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) composite, and Gelcoat.
For manufacturers Loctite H8600 Speedbonder reduces assembly time and costs and increases connection strength of steel joints. The two component blue acrylic adhesive cures rapidly when mixed at room temperature. Its high viscosity allows it to be applied horizontally or vertically to surfaces, flowing easily without running. Specially formulated to provide long-term bond strength and durability on galvanized surfaces, the patent-pending adhesive delivers high load carrying and enhanced cyclic loading properties.
Non-sagging Loctite H8600 Speedbonder fills gaps as large as 0.375 inches and requires little or no surface preparation. Formulated to deliver excellent environmental resistance, the adhesive offers superior impact and peel strength over time in the most demanding environments. The 100-percent reactive adhesive can be easily and accurately applied using hand held cartridge dispensers or large volume meter mix dispense equipment, and tolerates off-ratio mixing.
