The calculation of bolted joints in KISSsoft enables verification according to VDI 2230 Sheet 1 (2015) and a proof for bolts with FEM results as in VDI 2230 Sheet 2 (2014).
Supplementary calculation methods, as used in industry, have been implemented, in addition to VDI 2230. In addition to the calculation reports, the clamping diagram, assembly preloads, and the bolt geometry are shown in graphics.
KISSsoft also provides extensive databases for bolt geometries, materials etc., which you can extend by adding your own data. You can also extend the report templates by adding your own calculations. The product is rounded off by detailed documentation, consisting of a manual and graphics.
