In 2010, he began working as a research associate at the Gear Research Centre (FZG) at the Technische Universität München (TUM). Since 2014, Sigmund has been a team leader for worm gears at FZG. In 2015, he finished his doctoral thesis on “Investigation and simulation of the wear behavior of worm gears with local contact pattern.”
