Mears Machine Corporation, a world class supplier of aerospace, defense, space, and additive hardware products announced key additions within the organization. Roger Mears is becoming executive chairman, and James Lloyd has been appointed chief executive officer.

The appointment of Lloyd strengthens the leadership team, bringing almost 25 years of experience in design, manufacturing, product introduction, supply chain and technology introduction in the aerospace, defense and energy sectors. Prior to this appointment, Lloyd worked for Rolls-Royce and has lived and worked in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Asia-Pacific. He has a Master’s degree in aeronautical engineering from Loughborough University (UK) and has won multiple international engineering awards.
“I am delighted that James has agreed to join the Mears Machine Corporation team,” said Roger Mears, Executive Chairman. “I fully expect him to make a significant positive impact to our business and employees based on his understanding of customer requirements, delivery focus and how he collaborates with technology partners.”
“I am honored to be invited to join the Mears Machine team,” said Lloyd. “The business has fantastic customers and incredible manufacturing capabilities. Roger Mears’ vision for investing in multiple technologies not available within aerospace and defense to our customers and to differentiate Mears Machine was a compelling proposal. I look forward to building upon the strong foundations and delighting our customers.”
There are no other changes to the organization. Lloyd takes up this position in May and will have an ownership stake in the business.
