For a business contemplating purchasing new machine tools or using overtime to meet capacity needs to improve its competitive edge, Third Wave Systems will demonstrate how businesses can implement toolpath optimization to help achieve machining goals and drive efficiency within the organization. Making toolpath optimization part of the machining routine will help achieve significant cycle time reductions of 15 percent or more on turning toolpaths and 30 percent on milling toolpaths, while improving tool life.

The workshop is set for July 17, 2018, at the Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology in East Hartford, Connecticut. The workshop is complimentary. Registration is required.

Third Wave Systems has partnered with top CAM providers to make it easier than ever to achieve optimization and machining results using an interface that works between production module and the CAM system so users can skip the setup and get right into the analysis to get products to market faster.

Workshop attendees will also hear from WireFree CNC, which offers systems-level solutions for machine tool communication and data collection. Its Excellerant API product pulls real-time data from the shop floor, universally linking both new and legacy machines to existing ERP and MES systems, allowing users to solve problems and make better decisions across the organization.

Attendees can expect classroom-style instruction with step-by-step examples; to set up a project and apply optimization parameters; achieve cycle time savings, reduce tool costs and programming effort; and use the new Suggested Optimization Values feature.
