To further strengthen its customer support in Mexico, Seco recently opened a new facility in Querétaro. Led by Curtis Hassan, the new Seco Tools de Mexico will provide customers with access to the company’s full range of innovative tooling, training programs, and engineering services.

The Mexican manufacturing sector has rapidly matured in recent decades, with new factories featuring the latest in state-of-the-art technology. Seco Tools de Mexico is now able to provide support and services for these customers locally.

“In previous years, our Mexican customers and channel partners had to visit our Troy, Michigan-based headquarters for training,” said Seco Tools President Rob Keenan. “Now, we can offer such services as tool failure analysis and engineering consultations directly to those customers in their own local areas.”

The new facility features a microscopy lab for the analysis of used or damaged tools, as well as a dedicated aerospace applications expert and a manufacturing process engineer for customers with highly specialized needs. It also includes a variety of spaces for conducting Seco Technical Education Program (STEP) training sessions and consultations regarding process optimization with Seco’s Engineered Solutions team.

“We’re incredibly proud of the progress we’ve made with Seco Tools de Mexico,” Hassan said. “Establishing a physical office has already helped us serve customers better than ever before, reducing delivery times and costs while simultaneously meeting our customers’ desire for local technical and engineering support.”
