Forest City Gear hosted a tour for attendees of the Helios Gear School in May. The school is designed for entry-level professionals in gear manufacturing, including engineers, operators, and quality control.

The school is run by Helios Gear Products. The Forest City Gear tour has been a staple of the school for more than thirty years for students to learn about gear cutting, shaping, and inspection.

“FCG offers attendees the opportunity to see some of the latest gear manufacturing technology up close and in person,” said Adam Gimpert, president of Helios Gear Products. “This has been a great collaboration to reinforce fundamentals covered in the Helios Gear School, and attendees continually rank the tour as one of the highlights of the school.”

“At Forest City Gear, we’re always happy to maintain an open-door policy to allow for the exchange of ideas and the cross-pollination of technology within the industry,” said Kika Young, president of Forest City Gear. “And hosting gear school visits allow us to do just that.”
