Scott Hyde
is a graduate of Michigan Technological University and holds a Ph.D. from the Colorado School Mines in metallurgical engineering.
He has been employed at Timken for 20 years. Scott started as a research engineer, transitioned through various roles within the steel and bearing business units, before the current role as manager—material science & characterization within the Technology Organization. Scott’s experience includes physical metallurgy, heat treatment, forging, casting, steel making, and failure analysis.
