RTE Akustik + Prüftechnik from Germany will be at the IMTS 2012 trade fair, booth E-5275-7, to demonstrate its new Sonic™ component-testing technology. The scalable system allows the noise and vibration testing (NVH), the non-destructive acoustic materials testing (acoustic resonant testing, ART) and the frequency measurement of assemblies and components during production and development.
The Sonic™ can be scaled from a single-user test station up to networked multiuser solutions for distributed testing, where test and measurement functions are shared across interconnected individual systems to reduce complexity and/or cut test times. Operators, product managers and maintenance engineers can operate the system easily via touchscreen and graphics without lengthy training sessions. The system automatically identifies any status or configuration changes at the process level. If products change or production is restructured, the same system components can be reused or adapted.
