Rotek Incorporated, the leading North American manufacturer of slewing bearings and seamless rolled rings, is now offering contract machining services utilizing advanced machining cells at its Florence, Kentucky, facility. The multiple-machine cells, complete with pallet transfer systems and 120 magazine tool changers, offer competitive solutions for larger workpieces produced in high-volume runs and for smaller, repetitive production runs. Rotek will machine irregular-shaped workpieces from supplied materials or can provide seamless rolled rings to customer specifications if the workpiece begins as a rolled ring.
Rotek has complemented its machining expertise with a variety of customer-oriented business philosophies and techniques. Its Total Quality Management program and continuous improvement policy have earned certification to ISO 9001. Combined with its Aurora, Ohio, facility and its fully-integrated manufacturing capabilities, Rotek can also provide several additional services that may be required for the production of a finished product, including in-house heat treating, induction hardening, gear cutting, and assembly.
Founded in 1962, Rotek has pioneered slewing bearing technology for applications in cranes, excavators, antenna systems, offshore technology, tunneling machines, wind energy turbines, underwater turbines, solar energy plants, and many other applications in mechanical engineering. In addition, Rotek is a member of the Rothe Erde group, which is affiliated with ThyssenKrupp Components Technology.
