Jergens Inc. announces that Matt Schron will add vice president to his position as general manager. As an executive of the business – overseeing workholding, lifting, and specialty fasteners divisions — Schron’s promotion allows for expedited execution of agreements and contracts that support the company’s key business initiatives.

“What’s the expression — working at the speed of business?” Schron said. “We’re continuing to shorten the time needed for important business decisions in order to be even more responsive for our customers and suppliers.”

Schron has been the Jergens general manager since early 2019, and before that was GM for Jergens Industrial Supply (JIS), sold to PT Solutions in August of 2022. In his more than 20-year career at Jergens, he has worked in three of the four divisions, including numerous positions in marketing, product management, and sales.

“Our focus is to continue to grow sales, not only in the U.S., but also every other major market in the world,” Schron said. “We are continuing our strategic acquisitions that center around our core business. At the same time, we are committed to invest in our engineering teams to support customer applications and new product development.”

Before joining Jergens, Schron attended Ohio University, graduating with a B.S in marketing with sales certification. Continuing his education at Cleveland State University, he graduated with an MBA in 2007 before joining Jergens Inc.
