Stablelock pull clamps identified as QLPDW provide very quick and secure fastening for repetitive machine operations. They consist of a clamp base used with clamping screws. These pull clamps mount under a workpiece that the clamping screws are attached to, which allows the surface that will be machined to be accessible to the cutting tool. By turning the handle, the base clamp pulls the pin downward and secures it in position. The clamping force is constant, and the handle has a “click” feel at the clamping end point, preventing workpiece overtightening. The pull clamps are available in “center to top hole” length of 100 mm and “center to body” length of 43.5 mm. It provides clamping force to 675 pounds.
These QLPDW-M screws are made to use with QLPDW Stablelock pull clamps. The pull clamp mounts under a workpiece that these clamping screws are attached to, which allows the surface that will be machined to be accessible to the cutting tool. A standard screw and a locating screw are both available. Made from electroless nickel-plated 4135 steel, quenched and tempered. Also available is an extension unit (sold separately).
This extension unit, the QLPDW-RC, is suitable for operating QLPDW pull-down clamps from a distance. Attach an extension bar and hex socket (not included) to connect the extension unit to the clamp. The hex head can be turned manually or operated with an impact wrench.
Stablelock clamps offer a rigid clamping mechanism with a ball and tapered wedge clamping design with spring force for superior mechanical positive clamping. Clamping force is constant and strong no matter the user or the application. A “click” feel at the end of clamping ensures reliable and safe operation while indicator lines on the handle and body align to clearly show when the clamp is locked or unlocked.
Besides pull clamps, Fixtureworks Stablelock clamps are available in a variety of other clamping modes, including swing, push, side and thrust. The versatility of the modes offers expansive range of arm travel and length of arm options and makes these clamping choices for a variety of clamping, fixturing and workholding applications especially useful for highly repetitive clamping jobs.
