Brevini Group S.p.A., a holding of Brevini Group, has successfully concluded an operation they hope will have great impact on the industrial sector. After its subsidiary, Brevini Riduttori S.p.A. — a designer and manufacturer of planetary reduction gear units — acquired PIV Drives GmbH in Germany at the start of 2002, another of the companies in the Brevini Group, Hydr-App S.p.A., has acquired 100 percent of Fin-Aron, which also owns Aron S.p.A.
Aron S.p.A., which specializes in the production and sale of oil-pressured and electronic systems, was founded in 1978, and it closed 2001 with a turnover of nearly 16 million Euros — of which exports make up 50 percent. The company sets aside substantial resources for research and development activities that are primarily carried out in its Reggio Emilia headquarters, where Aron employs more than 100 people in a modern factory that covers an area of 16,000 square meters.
