•Caterpillar is selecting Pittler as a manufacturing partner for its new cylinder liner project; Caterpillar plans to use inverted spindle turning centers with 16 spindles for high production processes.
• Linamar Mexico adds a second scudding machine from Profilator at Nuevo Laredo plant for use on Getrag Ford project; Scudding is a unique and patented form of gear and spline production from Profilator.
• IMTS 2012 booth N6260 will include information on all American-Wera gear cutting machines and will feature two MAE straightening presses in action.
• American-Wera is expanding its facility in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The North American facility expands in floor space and showroom capacity, with additional staff to be added soon; full application engineering assistance, sales, service and training is offered for customers and field sales representatives.
