Nidec Corporation has acquired Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Machine Tool Co., Ltd., from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. The company designs, manufactures, and sells machine tools, cutting tools, and related products.
The U.S. branch is now Nidec Machine Tool America and remains in Wixom, Michigan.

The company started its business in 1936 for the manufacturing of lathes in Hiroshima, Japan, and has grown its business while supporting Japanese manufacturing for many years.
