Featuring a compact (52 in. x 47 in.) platform design, a range of interchangeable tooling options, and user-specified control and power options, the new OLS Model 1100 deburring machine from McNeil Industries offers users an exceptionally flexible, configurable solution for deburring a wide range of gears, sprockets, and other machined parts with diameters of up to six inches.

The basic Model 1100 platform features 110VAC power and delivers precision-controlled pneumatic cutting pressure through two tooling heads. For maximum flexibility, each head accommodates a wide range of quick-interchange pneumatic brushes, grinders, cutters or other tools. For applications requiring greater horsepower and tooling force, the Model 1100 platform can be upgraded to 240/480 VAC power, with cutting pressure provided by precision-controlled electric motors. Users may also select from a range of movable chucks or air-actuated collets to meet a variety of part clamping requirements and simplify operator loading and unloading.

All Model 1100 deburring machines are PLC-controlled, with machine functions and part profiles programmed to order and user-selectable from an electronic menu. Users may specify any of a wide range of PLC models and programming languages to ensure that their Model 1100 machine is compatible with existing plant systems and equipment.

To meet special application requirements, the Model 1100 can also be equipped with an optional, high-efficiency dust collection system specified for stand-alone operation or integration with a plant-wide system. Another option, a sump-based liquid cooling system, can be specified to cope with the higher temperatures generated by challenging applications.

McNeil Industries manufactures specialty products, systems, and services recognized for on-time delivery and superior performance. The company’s OLS deburring machines automate secondary operations and help manufacturers reduce costs while improving the throughput and quality of cast, machined, stamped, and powder-metal components. The company also designs and delivers MAXAM® bearings used in steel making and heavy industry, Guide System pins and bushings used by the global can-making industry, and a range of precision machining, industrial sealing, and value-added services used by customers worldwide.
