received a degree in mechanical engineering in 2006 and a Ph.D. in 2012 at the Gear Research Center (FZG), Technical University Munich. He continued his work at FZG as team leader for gear dynamics and calculation. Since 2014, Heider has been a senior engineer at the Central Gear Technology division at RENK AG, Augsburg, for gear calculation, programming, and structural and dynamic analyses.
