Rolling Machines from Leistritz

Leistritz Produktionstechnik GmbH of Nuernberg, Germany has recently acquired the rolling machine division of Revue Thommen AG of Tenniken, Switzerland. The newly formed organization will be known as Leistritz Thommen GmbH.

Thommen has produced high precision rolling machines and tooling since 1946. Leistritz is best known as the leading producer of thread whirling machines. Combined, these companies offer unique and productive solutions to produce threads, worms, screws, knurls, and splines, etc. The addition of Thommen machines brings the number of distinct processes available from Leistritz to four, including whirling, keyseating, end facing, and rolling.

Design and manufacture of the rolling machines will remain with Thommen’s experienced engineers in Switzerland, with managerial control in Nuernberg. North American sales and service will be handled through the Leistritz Corporation of Allendale, New Jersey.
