As the result of a recent order, R.P. Machine Enterprises, Inc.—which purchased Gould & Eberhardt in 2005—is pleased to announce that new G&E machines are entering the gear-manufacturing marketplace for the first time in six years. Three hobber/gashers have been ordered by a major supplier of gears for wind-turbine applications, according to Rich Piselli, founder and president of the company.

“The original castings for the machine bodies were included in our purchase of Gould & Eberhardt, so we’re using them as a foundation for the new machines we’re building,” he says. “We’re basically taking a tried-and-true design and improving on it with all of the latest technologies.”

The new machines will cut teeth on gears up to a 144 inches in diameter, and they have been crafted by R.P. Machine’s seasoned staff of design engineers. “We’re proud to have the opportunity to breathe new life into a widely known and well-respected American OEM,” Piselli says, “and we look forward to working with gear manufacturers who are interested in incorporating these state-of-the-art machines into their production process.”

A premier provider of new, rebuilt, and reconditioned gear-manufacturing equipment, R.P. Machine has extensive inventory and the expertise to help its customers reach their business goals.
