Ed Engelhard Promoted to Vice President of Corporate Quality of Solar Atmospheres

Roger Jones, corporate president of Solar Atmospheres, recently announced the promotion of Ed Engelhard as the vice president of corporate quality. Engelhard has been with the company for over three years, serving as corporate quality manager in that time.

In his new role, Engelhard will oversee the long range planning and support of quality functions at the company’s four heat treat and brazing facilities. His responsibilities include the direction and management of corporate resources to plan various quality endeavors, provide technical support to site quality managers, and coordinate strategic initiatives among the various facilities and departments in order to facilitate compliance to quality requirements and continual improvement in process quality and customer performance metrics.

Mike Moffit Promoted to Vice President of Operations of Solar Atmospheres of California

Solar Atmospheres of California recently named Mike Moffit as its new vice president of operations. Moffit has been with the company for 21 years in a variety of departments and served as the quality manager for the past five years at Solar Atmospheres of California.

In his new role, Moffit will oversee the day-to-day operations of the heat treating facility in Fontana, California. His responsibilities include the direction and management of maintenance, scheduling, shipping/receiving, customer service, training, purchasing, and staffing. He will also work closely with the quality and sales departments to ensure that customer requirements are consistently being met.
