GSE Media Ltd, the U.K.-based creator of innovative niche engineering events, has announced a national trade exhibition to be held in Cincinnati at the Duke Energy Convention Center on May 17-18, 2017. The event will combine three successful trade shows that have proved highly popular in the U.K. and Europe: the Engineering Simulation Expo, the Engineering Testing Expo, and the Thermal Engineering Expo.

The City of Cincinnati has long been a hub for advanced manufacturing, particularly in the automotive and aerospace industries. It is a region that also includes the major engineering cities of Dayton and Indianapolis. For GSE Media, the policy of hosting events of this type in the major hubs of engineering has proved a highly successful strategy. Locating close to where engineers are based minimizes travel and time out of the office and generates high footfall.

The events, which are free for delegates to attend, combine a speaker agenda from industry thought leaders and demonstrations of the latest technology in these sectors.

“The decision to bring these connected events to the U.S. market is the natural extension of our strategy of creating highly specific, content-rich exhibitions, which have provided exhibitors with an outstanding opportunity to reach their specific target market and generate business,” said Ken Davies, co-director of GSE Media.

“We have found that our model of developing niche engineering technology events where there is an extremely close match between the interests of attendees and exhibitors has proved very successful,” said David Reeks, co-director of GSE Media. “We believe there will be a high degree of interest in these events from visitors and exhibitors alike.

“Cincinnati was chosen after a systematic evaluation of a number of possible host cities. The high density of the engineering audience within a commutable distance, the ease of travel to Cincinnati from across the country by air and by road, and the focus of advanced manufacturing made Cincinnati the clear choice. We are delighted that we have been able to secure the Duke Energy Convention Center for this event.”
