American Gear Tools (AGT), a recently launched division of American Broach & Machine Company, has hired Leon Koslov as general manager. With more then 30 years of experience designing and developing gear cutting tools, he was formally with Barit International as the vice president and chief engineer before beginning his position with AGT in Septemer 2009.
American Gear Tools will design and deliver hob cutting tools, shaper cutters, shaving cutters, milling cutters, stright and spiral bevel cutters, and spline rolling racks. Engineering and inspection services—including a gear lab featuring the MDM Metronics analytical gear inspection machine—and supporting customer troubleshooting and application enhancements, along with gear cutting tool regrinding services, will be its focus.
