Mitsubishi Gear Center Hosts Technical Seminars

Owing to the success of Mitsubishi’s Gear Technology Center, it has decided to give back to the industry by providing a day packed with free informative technical seminars. Designed to benefit all customers ranging from beginners in the industry to the seasoned professional, these seminars will be held August 21, 2007, and given by top engineers within Mitsubishi, who will address:

• Gear Basics
• Mitsubishi’s Philosophy Regarding Superdry Cutting Tools & their Applications
• Evaluating Potential Errors from the Hobbing & Shaping Processes
• Generating Gear Grinding—Mitsubishi’s Perspective

Paul Suwijn of Gear Resources Technology will be the special guest speaker for the day, discussing “Important Principals for Workholding Success.”

Anyone seeking a deeper understanding of the gear manufacturing process will gain much from this free gear seminar, which will be hosted by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America, Inc., at the Lyon Oaks Golf Course Club House—located just minutes away from the Gear Technology Center in Wixom, Michigan. A shuttle will take attendees to the center for machine cutting displays of the Mitsubishi ST40CNC, SE25A, GE15A, and an Automated GE20A. The seminar starts at 7:30 a.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m. Breakfast and lunch will be provided, and a limited number of tee times have been reserved for nine holes of golf for a reduced rate of $33 per person after the seminar.
