MachineTools.com, a leading business-to-business online marketplace for the machine tool industry, now offers users the ability to upload and show videos of machines for sale. Sellers on MachineTools.com can now post videos demonstrating machine tool capabilities and features. Videos are loaded through YouTube and can be played directly on MachineTools.com.

“As the Web continues to evolve, we have the responsibility to keep pace by delivering technologies to our users,” says Adam O’Connor, chief technology officer for MachineTools.com. “Providing our customers with video capabilities demonstrates a commitment to enhance the buyer and seller experience on the site.”

In addition to standard photos typically accompanying each listing, the expansion into video offers users the chance to review machines in operation. A new section titled “videos” lists all machines by date added, allowing users to view recently added machine videos and increasing accessibility. As demand for buying and selling machinery online maintains its rapid growth, MachineTools.com will look for new areas of innovation to provide its customers with the latest technologies and communication tools.

Founded in 1999, MachineTools.com has 100,000 registered users and more than 35,000 machine listings provided by more than 1,000 sellers. Every month, MachineTools.com receives 350,000 unique visitors from more than 80 countries. MachineTools.com also provides industry-relevant information such as an industry directory of companies, a job section, and listings of auction events, industry events, and publications, as well as multiple forums that provide industry professionals the opportunity to exchange information and discuss equipment. The site is also viewable in Chinese and Spanish to facilitate international transactions.
