INDEX has appointed Jeffrey Reinert as CEO as of February 10, 2008, according to management at INDEX-Werke, Esslingen, Germany. The previous CEO, Olaf Tessarzyk, has left the company. INDEX thanked him for an excellent job with INDEX Corporation in Noblesville, Indiana.

Reinert has more than 20 years’ experience in the machine tool industry and sold INDEX products from 1986 until 1992. In 2001 he founded his own company, Machine Tools of Indiana, Inc., where he had been president.

The INDEX Group is one of the leading precision CNC turning machine manufacturers worldwide. The products of INDEX and TRAUB cover the entire range of turning machines, from single-spindle to multi-spindle to sliding headstock machines. With more than 2,200 employees worldwide, consolidated annual sales of the INDEX Group in 2006 were more than $500 million. INDEX and TRAUB machines find application globally in aerospace, medical devices, automotive, and other precision machined parts industries.

Established in 1983, INDEX Corporation provides sales, application, and parts/service support—with the help of its qualified distributor network—to customers in North America. The Noblesville facility includes a machine demonstration and training center and employs more than 50 persons. INDEX Corporation operates four regional service centers throughout the U.S., with offices in Connecticut, Indianapolis, and California.
