GMTA (German Machine Tools of America) recently attended a technology days event held by its partner, BvL, a market leader in parts cleaning technology. The technology days were in May at BvL’s Emsburen, Germany, location. The event was attended by many of BvL’s partners from locations around the world, including China, Hungary, Netherlands, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, and the United States.
The first day of the workshop began with a welcoming speech followed by a presentation of the latest developments at BvL, plus background information on analytical methods for particulate and film-like contamination. This was followed by “Expert Cafe” rounds, with delegates joining various small groups to discuss cleaning systems for various particle sizes, the new “Twister” rotary indexing process and the state of play with BvL’s online marketing. The afternoon included a range of system demonstrations and an in-depth tour of the BvL production facility.
The BvL Twister rotary indexing systems are the newest addition to its system type portfolio. The space-saving systems, ensure optimum part cleanliness and a corresponding level of process reliability. They are ideally suited for the implementation of robot cells and production lines, making them especially applicable for use in automotive technology.
BvL recently developed a marketing campaign for this target sector, featuring a number of different elements and has just launched a campaign in the German market with a newsletter. This newsletter will soon be sent to recipients in the U.S. market.
