Expanded CBN Wheel Line and Advanced Plating Facility–A new technical sales brochure is now available describing Gleason’s greatly expanded production capacity for high precision CBN plated wheels used for external and internal, straight and helical, and parallel and bevel gear grinding. The new Gleason Cutting Tools plating facility at the Loves Park, Illinois, plant is one of the most advanced of its kind in the world, with an expandable, ultra-modern electrolytic and electroless nickel plating capability currently producing up to 500 wheels per month. Products include non-dressable grinding and dressing wheels manufactured with hardened steel bodies, precision ground profiles, and with nickel-plated single layer CBN or diamond crystals. Sizes range from 30 to 500mm outside diameter, up to 160mm wide, and can accommodate any customer mounting requirement.

From its Loves Park facility, Gleason Cutting Tools offers customers a host of services and capabilities, designed to significantly improve the productivity and efficiency of gear-making operations.
