American Stress Technologies, Inc., of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, has introduced the new CamScan 100 Inspection System. This off-line audit inspection system monitors residual stress from manufacturing processes and detects grinding damage and some heat-treatment qualities. The system was designed to measure/monitor the induction hardening pattern of shafts. The unit requires manual loading and unloading of the test piece. The sensor scans surfaces, and test information is sent to a RollScan central unit.
