Balzers Announces New President

In a recent press release dated November 18, 2003, Balzers, Inc.–the global leader in PVD coating technology–announced that Kent Connell has been appointed president of the company effective January 1, 2004.

Coming from ESEC, a sister company within the Unaxis Corporation, Connell joins Balzers with a background in marketing and sales, as well as finance. He has a bachelor of science degree in business marketing from Brigham Young University and is a certified public accountant with qualifications through Western International University.

During his 17 years with ESEC, Connell acted as vice president and general manager from 1995 to 2003, as director/vice president of Finance & Administration from 1989 to 1995, and as operations manager from 1986 to 1989.
