The Nashville, Tennessee, facility of Paulo Products Company has successfully passed an audit by the Ford Motor Company and has been found in full compliance with Ford’s HTX standard. HTX is Ford’s manufacturing standard for control of heat treating processes and equipment. Paulo-Nashville has also been named a Ford Preferred Supplier. By having HTX approval and Preferred Supplier status, manufacturers of Ford components are able to submit their heat treating work to Paulo without any audits of Paulo’s facility. Paulo-Nashville is the third Paulo facility to receive HTX approval and Preferred Supplier status.

The HTX standard and audit process are parts of Ford’s "mission of never ending improvement." By requiring the Ford parts be processed only by the highest quality heat treat suppliers, Ford is able to make significant strides in defect prevention. The HTX standard "defines the requirements for the type and frequency of process monitors, laboratory controls, and in-process inspections and tests to be performed as part of the ongoing operation of production heat treating equipment and the maintenance of related records."
