Rixan Associates/Mitsubishi Robotics and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) has jointly announced that training course offerings by Rixan Associates are now approved for SME Certification credits according to Laura Roessle, certification coordinator for SME, and Allen Poe, Rixan’s vice president/chief engineer. Poe is also head of training for the North American distributor of Mitsubishi Robotics.
Roessle says that "The Manufacturing Engineering Certification Institute of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (MECI/SME) will grant one recertification credit hour for each hour of instruction involved in this program. The certified training program is aimed at certified manufacturing technologists (CMfgT); certified manufacturing engineers (CmfgE); certified engineering managers (CEM); and certified enterprise integrators (CEI)."
According to Poe, Rixan Associates/ Mitsubishi Robotics offers the following courses which are approved for SME Certification credits: 1) Mitsubishi Basic Robotics; 2) Mitsubishi Advanced Robotics, and; 3) Mitsubishi A-Series Robot Maintenance.
The programs for the 2004 Training Schedule, according to Poe, are part of Rixan’s "Superior Customer Experience" philosophy.
