Star SU to Distribute Hainbuch Welge, LeCount Products

Star SU, LLC, of Hoffman Estates, Illinois, and Hainbuch Welge Corporation of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, have announced a mutual agreement for the sales and distribution of Hainbuch workholding tooling related to the manufacture of gears. Star SU will promote, sell, and distribute Hainbuch Welge products throughout North America through its extensive direct sales team and selected representatives.

Star SU is the 50/50 merger of Star Cutter Company of Farmington Hills, Michigan, and SU America, Inc., the U.S. sales and manufacturing unit of Samputensili, S.p.A. The companies represent two of the world’s largest gear machine and gear tool manufacturing producers, manufacturing gear cutting, finishing and support equipment, gear tools, tool and cutter grinders, and round tools.

Hainbuch Welge is an 80-percent holding of Hainbuch GmbH, Marbach, Germany, a world leader in the design and manufacture of extremely precise and exceptionally rigid work holding solutions. In addition, Star SU and LeCount, Inc., of White River Junction, Vermont, have announced a mutual agreement for the sale and distribution of LeCount expanding mandrels, spline mandrels, concentric rings, and custom mandrels in North America (the United States, Mexico, and Canada) through the Star SU sales organization. Star SU will promote, sell, and distribute LeCount products throughout North America through its extensive direct sales team and selected representatives.

LeCount is a privately held company based in Vermont, manufacturing expanding inspection mandrels, multi-jaw spline mandrels, concentric rings, and custom tooling for precisely holding bore-type cylindrical work pieces for inspection.
