Philadelphia Gear Corporation, a full-service provider of gearing and power transmission solutions, announces the appointment of GaÈtan Perron to the position of sales representative, servicing existing Philadelphia Gear customers in Canada and expanding PGC’s customer base in Eastern Ontario, QuÈbec, and the Maritimes.
Perron will operate mainly in the energy market, servicing coal-fired, gas-fired, and hydroelectric power plants; the pipeline industry; the petrochemical sector; the hydrocarbon processing industry; and wind power generation. His sales territory spreads from Cobourg, Ontario, through St. John’s, Newfoundland.
Perron brings with him an experienced background in energy market sales, most recently as a sales representative with Omega Machine Shop, developing new customers throughout Western QuÈbec and Eastern Ontario. He’s held similar field sales representative positions with PYG Equipment, Inc., and Castel Metals, where he was again charged with developing new customers and growing existing sales territories.

In each of these positions he succeeded in increasing sales and market share, while identifying new client opportunities.
