International machine tool distributor GBI Cincinnati and the machining part cost reduction experts TechSolve have announced that they are combining their expertise to provide a practical machining demonstration at Eastec 2005, which will be held May 24-26 in West Springfield, Massachusetts.

Working on a new Cincinnati Lamb V.CNC 500 provided by GBI Cincinnati, engineers from TechSolve will run demonstrations of its part cost reduction and tool tuning services. Customers can view a machined part being created out of steel using the traditional process and an optimized process.

"We’re working closely with GBI to create this new demonstration specifically for Eastec," says Tom McClure, a TechSolve executive VP. "The demo shows how we match our proprietary part cost reduction and tool tuning expertise to our clients’ needs and machinery to create savings of 20 percent or more in the client’s operations." "By choosing the right machine and running it under the optimal lean machining processes, we are showing companies how we help them get the greatest value out of both the machine and its operation," says Kevin Bevan, president of GBI Cincinnati.

GBI Cincinnati is a tier-one international distributor of metalworking products and services, and is the exclusive master distributor for Cincinnati Lamb’s full line of vertical machining centers and turning centers, as well as the Trimek line of CMMs and the Danobat line of lathes. Additionally, the company partners with several carefully selected companies to provide machine tool optimization, applications engineering, conveyors, fixtures, probes, rotary tables, presetting gauges, machine tool accessories, and lean manufacturing consultation.
