Philadelphia Gear announces the completion of ISO-9002 (2000 Standard) certification of its new Houston Gulf Coast Regional Service Center’s quality management systems standards.
In the past 18 months, all five of PGC’s regional service centers throughout the country have undergone NQA audits, leading to independent ISO certification or recertification at each individual facility. This is in addition to the corporate certification that is held by its company headquarters and technical center in Norristown.
"With the completion of the Houston ISO certification, all PGC sites around the country are now certified, showing our dedication to the best business practices and manufacturing processes a company in this industry can implement," says Rod Francis, director of quality for Philadelphia Gear Corporation. "Equally as important to our company is the outstanding customer satisfaction component the ISO certification also stresses, once again emphasizing our commitment to our customers and their needs.

ISO-9002 specifies requirements for a quality management system where an organization:
- Needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide product that meets customer and applicable regulatory requirements, and;
- Aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for continual improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable regulatory requirements.
