Dalian Machine Tool Group (DMTG), China’s largest machine tool builder, will introduce a broad line of productive, highly economical CNC lathes and vertical and horizontal machining centers at IMTS.
DMTG machines on display will include CNC lathes designed for high rigidity, efficiency and reliability, easy operation, and highly affordable pricing. The new VDL-1000 Vertical Machining Center is a fast, accurate, and productive machine ideal for job shop or production applications. Also on display will be the HVL 630 Horizontal Machining Center, a high-speed CNC machine with large-capacity pallet size (630 mm dia.). In addition, Zimmerman GmbH, Germany—recently acquired by DMTG—will exhibit its FZ 35 5-Axis Portal-Type Milling Machine, featuring a highly robust design and capable of very high spindle speeds for more efficient production of larger workpieces.
DMTG’s participation at IMTS marks the beginning of a new era of rapid expansion, global alliances, and technology development and innovation for the company. Founded in 1948, it has been ranked as China’s largest, and most innovative machine tool builder for the last four years. Its annual sales in 2005 were over $400 million, and its line of products has been expanded and includes vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers, CNC lathes, transfer lines, and special machinery. Located in Dalian, Liaoning Province, the company has recently undergone a significant expansion of its facilities, putting 1.8 million square feet under roof.
