Develops, implements and maintains quality systems in order to prevent or eliminate defects in new and existing products. Manages adherence to all relevant quality systems and standards (ISO, AS, etc) to ensure compliance.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Quality Systems:
    • Provides management, guidance and support to customer base, supplier base and to all internal FCG employees in regard to the Quality System
    • Ensures that all Quality System standards, protocols, and manuals are maintained and adhere to established requirements to maintain compliance with ISO13485 and AS9100 certifications
    • Will work in conjunction with the Quality Control (lab) team to ensure Quality Assurance standards through all aspects of the organization
    • Conducts management meetings to establish, delineate, and review program organizational policies and to coordinate functions and operations between departments
    • Formulates and maintains quality control objectives and coordinates those objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other managers to maximize quality and reliability and to minimize costs’
    • Develop and help to implement continual improvement programs to ensure that the department and Company goals are being met
    • Implement and maintain quality record and retention systems that assure quality history and data will be available for examination by customers and for proper data to be shipped with product; communicates these systems and trains administrative/data entry staff as needed
    • Directs Material Review Board meetings and makes recommendations for improving and eliminating non-conformances
    • Coordinates and maintains corrective action system including containment actions, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and verification processes
    • Adheres to ITAR regulations and serves as the primary contact for ITAR Registration
